Admission Requirements
The new student admission process for bachelor program in Forestry, refers to the provisions required by the Ministry of Higher Education, Culture, Research, and Technology Number 48 of 2022 concerning the Acceptance of New Students for Diploma Programs and Bachelor Programs at State Universities and the Regulation of the Rector of Hasanuddin University Number 36621/UN4.1/PP.37/2017 concerning admission of new students of Universitas Hasanuddin. The admission process is carried out online through the website provided by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology (https://portal-snpmb.bppp.kemdikbud.go.id) and UNHAS (http://regpmb.unhas.ac.id/). Admission criteria and information are published and updated on these websites.
Following are the steps involved in the admission process:
- SNBP emphasizes achievement-based admissions as provided by the Ministry of Education and Culture of the Republic of Indonesia. As a prerequisite for admission, students must present a portfolio of one of their outstanding achievements in Sports; Fine Arts, Design and Crafts; dance; Theatre; music; Sendratasik; Karawitan Art; Ethnomusicology; photography; Film and Television; Puppetry Arts
- NBT is open to students graduating from senior high school (SMA/MA/SMK and equivalent), as well as graduates from Package C with a maximum age of 25 (as of July of the implementation year). The main requirement for admission is participation in the UTBK (Computer-Based Written Examination).
- Independent lane is provided and selected by the University based on their specific category: (1) Leadership Talent Development Program for Student Council Chairpersons, (2) The Non-Subsidized Lanes, and (3) Sports, Arts and Science Achievement Pathway
- Special requirements for International Students, i.e. the maximum age 21 years old, no criminal record, meet all requirements set by Unhas, never been declared dropped out. In case of possible compensation for missing admission requirements, respective rules are defined. In such a case, appropriate courses to acquire the necessary competences should be offered. Compensation for missing prior knowledge must not decrease the qualification level of the degree programme.
Rules for the recognition of qualifications achieved externally (e.g. at other higher education institutions or outside the higher education sector) are clearly defined. They facilitate the transition between higher education institutions and non-university places of learning without jeopardizing the achievement of learning outcomes at the desired level. They are based on the principles of the Lisbon Convention. It is regularly evaluated whether the regulations ensure sufficient (subject-related) prior knowledge of the students.
The National Higher Education Entrance Test consists of general and specific knowledge test components including capability in the area of Mathematics, Sciences, Indonesian and English. This is believed to be able to support the appeal for the competency profile of each intended
study program. The Directorate General of Higher Education manages a national admissions system for new potential students so that grades for each study program are prepared in an integrated and comprehensive manner for all study programs participating in the national selection.
