Tamalanrea-Makassar. Dean of the Faculty of Forestry, Hasanuddin University (Unhas), Prof. Dr. Ir. A. Mujetahid M., S.Hut., M.P. accompanied by the Head of the Forestry Science Doctoral Study Program (S3), Prof. Dr. forests. Alif K. Sahide, S.Hut., M.Si. and Lecturer and PIC MBKM Forestry Study Program, Andi Vika Faradiba Mun, S.Hut., M.Hut. received a visit from the Director of RECOFTC Indonesia, Gamma Galundra discussing the implementation of the Independent Learning Campus (MBKM) collaboration between the Faculty of Forestry Unhas and RECOFTC through the Lacuna project. The activity took place starting at 13.00 WITA in the Dean’s Office of the Faculty of Forestry, Unhas Tamalanrea Campus, Makassar (17/1/2025).

Before starting activities, always convey and emphasize and always provide direction regarding the commitment to reject gratification, be free from Corruption, Collusion and Nepotism (KKN) as one of the steps in building an integrity zone towards WBK and WBBM.
Starting the activity, the Director of RECOFTC Indonesia in his introduction expressed his thanks to the Dean of the Faculty of Forestry Unhas for welcoming our visit and would discuss the MBKM program for students.
“Thank you to the Dean of the Faculty of Forestry, Unhas, for welcoming us well. The purpose of this visit is to facilitate the Training Capacity Development for Data Collector on Advancing Oil Palm Mapping in Indonesia with Social Forestry and Machine learning activities for MBKM students in collaboration with the Faculty of Forestry “Unhas with RECOFTC Indonesia,” said Gama Galundra.

In his speech, he expressed his gratitude to the Director of RECOFTC Indonesia for his presence at the Faculty of Forestry in order to facilitate capacity training activities as well as discussions regarding MBKM collaboration through the Lacuna project.
“I hope that this program can provide knowledge, experience and benefits for our students, especially in developing data collection capacity in developing palm oil mapping in Indonesia with Social Forestry and machine learning,” explained Prof. Mujetahid.
