Tamalanrea-Makassar. The Faculty of Forestry, Hasanuddin University (Unhas), through the faculty senate, organizes the election of the Chair and Secretary of the Senate. The activity took place starting at 09.00 WITA in the Senate Meeting Room of the Faculty of Forestry, Unhas Tamalanrea Campus, Makassar, Friday (24/1/2025).
Starting the activity, Chair of the Unhas Forestry Faculty Senate, Prof. Dr. Ir. Samuel A. Paembonan in his speech said that this activity was aimed at electing the new Chair and Secretary of the Senate of the Faculty of Forestry, Hasanuddin University, considering that the term of office of the previous Chair and Secretary had finished and they were entering retirement.
“This activity is important in selecting the Chair and Secretary of the Senate for the 2025-2029 period considering that my term of office as chair and secretary for the 2020-2024 period has finished so re-election is necessary,” explained Prof. Samuel.
Furthermore, Prof. Samuel said that he hoped that the new Chair and Secretary of the Senate of the Faculty of Forestry, Unhas, could bring the Faculty of Forestry even better in the future compared to my tenure.
On the same occasion, the Dean of the Faculty of Forestry, Unhas, Prof. Dr. Ir. A. Mujetahid M., S.Hut., M.P. In his speech, he expressed his gratitude to the Chair and Secretary of the Senate for the 2020-2024 period for their dedication, service and cooperation during their tenure.
“Thank you to the Chair and Secretary of the Senate of the Faculty of Forestry, Hasanuddin University for the 2020-2024 period for their hard work and cooperation in developing the Faculty of Forestry during their term of office. “I hope that the new Chair and Secretary can be better in building our beloved faculty in the future,” said Prof. Mujetahid.
The Dean of the Faculty of Forestry also conveyed several things regarding the progress of road construction or access to the KHDTK Educational Forest, the implementation of BCTB, the achievements of the 2024 IKU and the target and realization of the 2025 IKU.
After the welcoming speech, the activity continued with the election of the Chair and Secretary of the Senate of the Faculty of Forestry, Hasanuddin University for the 2025-2029 period. From this election, Prof. Dr. Ir. Yusran, S.Hut., M.Si., IPU. as Chairman of the Senate and Mukrimin, S.Hut., M.P., Ph.D. as Secretary of the Senate.
The activity went smoothly until 11.30 WITA.
