Faculty of Forestry, Hasanuddin University Holds Workshop on Preparing Join SAR Documents for ASIIN International Accreditation for Undergraduate Forestry Study Program

Tamalanrea-Makassar. The Faculty of Forestry, Hasanuddin University (Unhas) held a Workshop on Preparing Join Self Assessment Report (SAR) Documents for ASIIN International Accreditation for the Undergraduate Forestry Study Program. The activity took place starting at 10.00 WITA virtually via zoom meeting, Friday (8/9).

Starting the activity, Deputy Dean for Academic and Student Affairs, Faculty of Forestry Unhas, Syahidah, S.Hut., M.Si., Ph.D. In his speech, he said that this activity aims to provide solutions and steps in preparing for the implementation of ASIIN international accreditation for the Bachelor of Forestry Study Program, Faculty of Forestry, Unhas.

“Thank you for the presence of the resource person in this activity. We hope that through this activity the material presented can help and make it easier for the team in preparing the Join SAR document for the ASIIN international accreditation for the Bachelor of Forestry study program,” explained Syahidah.

Present as a resource person, Head of the Quality Assurance Unit Office, Gadjah Mada University (UGM), Dr. Ir. Gentur J. Sutapa in his material said that ASIIN international accreditation is based on self-assessment reports (Self Assessment Reports) which are widely used by foreign higher education institutions.

“The essence of the self-assessment report is to show various management systems, efforts to demonstrate good higher education and opinions from stakeholders,” explained Dr. Gentur.

Practitioners and alumni are important in the self-assessment report because positive input from these two elements reflects the ideal of accreditation.

Dr. Gentur said that the benefits of international accreditation are recognition by stakeholders and quality improvement. One of the internationalization steps is accreditation.

One of the important things in the accreditation process is the exam. Exams assess the extent to which the set learning objectives have been achieved and the type of exam is determined for each module.

The activity went smoothly and ended with a joint discussion.
