Dean of the Faculty of Forestry, Hasanuddin University (Unhas), Dr. Ir. A. Mujetahid M., SHut., M.P., IPU. officially released 172 Field Work Practice 1 (PKL) participants consisting of 143 Forestry Study Programs, 11 Forestry Engineering Study Programs and 29 Forest Conservation Study Programs. The activity took place starting at 08.00 WITA in the Ground Floor Hall of the Faculty of Forestry Unhas, Thursday (11/1/2024).
Starting the activity, the Dean of the Faculty of Forestry, Unhas, in his speech expressed his thanks to all parties who had helped carry out this activity.
“Thank you to all parties who have helped carry out this activity. I hope that PKL 1 Wave 6 can run well until the end of the activity which is estimated to be completed on February 10 2024,” explained Dr. A. Mujetahid.
Dr. A. Mujetahid said that all PKL 1 Wave 6 participants must maintain health, cleanliness, solidarity and cooperation in the field because this is one of the strengths of the Unhas Forestry Faculty.
“I hope that this activity can run well and smoothly according to the schedule that has been set and hope that all PKL 1 wave 6 participants obey the rules that apply during this activity and follow the directions of the lecturers and accompanying assistants,” said Mujetahid.
On the same occasion, Head of the Forestry Study Program, Faculty of Forestry, Hasanuddin University, Dr. Ir. Sitti Nuraeni, M.P. In his speech, he said that this activity was a forum for honing students’ abilities and skills in the forestry sector.
“I hope that you can make good use of this opportunity to learn and actualize directly in the field the knowledge gained during the lecture process in class,” said Dr. Nuraeni.
Head of the Forest Conservation Study Program, Faculty of Forestry, Hasanuddin University, Prof. Dr. Ngakan Putu Oka, M.Sc. In his speech, he said that the implementation of PKL or General Conservation Practice (PUK) for Forest Conservation study program students class of 2021 was the first implementation of field practice.
“I hope that general conservation practice participants can adapt quickly and do their work in the field well, with commitment and discipline because a forester must have commitment and discipline in their work,” explained Prof. OK.
Prof. Ngakan Putu Oka gave motivation to all PKL and PUK participants at the Faculty of Forestry, Hasanuddin University, to remain enthusiastic during the process of field practice activities because a forester must be tough, experienced, able to innovate, socialize and be disciplined.
PKL and PUK activities will be carried out in the Special Purpose Forest Area (KHDTK) of the Unhas Faculty of Forestry Education Forest from January 11 to February 10 2024.
